Well, we all went trick or treating this year for Halloween - even baby Luke, but we had to take him out of his thick, warm costume as it was still almost 80 degrees here in Texas by the time 6:30pm rolled around. Lexi had been practicing her "trick or treat" so she was really ready to go. Every time we finished at one house, she would say, "I go to another house now." And so we did. Luke only made it until about 7:00pm, but Daddy and Lexi continued until almost 8:00pm. After trick or treating, Lexi did want her lollipop, but was really more interested in getting some Goldfish when she got home (she's still not a big sweet eater). So we really didn't even have to worry about reigning her in with respect to eating all of her candy loot all at once. She wasn't really that interested. But the funniest moment came after she had stripped off her costume and was sitting next to Mommy on the couch eating her Goldfish apparently wiped out from her trick or treating activities. She was really thirsty, so we gave her some water, but Mommy was having a beer, so that's exactly what Lexi wanted. She kept "fake" coughing to show how thirsty she was and that only the beer would make it all better. It kept Shane and I laughing for quite some time. She is definitely her mother's daughter (even if she is a Daddy's girl) - see video below.
